Israeli pianist, composer, and producer Itay Abramovitz is a versatile musician whose work bridges modern jazz with global influences, particularly Latin, Afro-Cuban, Mediterranean, and world music traditions.

An active performer in Israel, Europe and USA, he has collaborated with leading Israeli artists including Yasmin Levy, David Broza, Pablo Rosenberg and more. 

Abramovitz is a core member and pianist of the contemporary jazz trio Atempo, known for its original music and cross-cultural sound. Alongside his performing career, he composes and produces for film, theater, and diverse musical projects, and is actively involved in music education, with a focus on Latin and global music styles.

ATEMPO is a modern jazz piano trio active across Israel, Europe, and the USA for five years. Founded during the Covid period by three established musicians – Itay Abramovitz (piano), Alon Stern (bass), and Yoav Lachovitsky (drums) – the trio has evolved into a dynamic ensemble that pushes the boundaries of genre and cultural fusion.

Their unique sound stems from diverse influences – Mediterranean, Balkan, Latin, and African traditions – creating a distinctive musical language that resonates with audiences worldwide. Recently featured at the Bucharest International Jazz Competition (EUROPAfest), ATEMPO has performed extensively across Europe and the United States, collaborating with renowned artists including Mark Lotz, Yair Dalal, and others.
