Idle Hands
Producer Marc Free returns with another installment in his visionary series of curated musical projects, once again bringing together a trusted circle of Posi-Tone musicians. This latest group Idle Hands first release presents a collection of concise, thoughtfully crafted performances designed to give listeners a clear and practical sense of the label’s straightforward musical aesthetic and guiding philosophy. While the spirit of Grant Green’s 1964 album Idle Moments lingers as an influence, this ensemble of accomplished players pushes the sound into fresh stylistic territory.
In the second volume from Idle Hands, Get A Grip, Free once again entrusts his core roster of Posi-Tone artists to steer the session. The album delivers a tightly focused set of performances, each one intentionally shaped to offer listeners a firm grasp of the clean, direct musical approach and underlying ethos that define the Posi-Tone sound.
