The evening opens with Los Abstraccioneros, featuring Adolfo Ibañez, Adriana Magaña, and Brian McCorkle. The trio brings the hypnotic rhythms of Amazonian cumbia to life through electrifying guitar work, deep grooves, and psychedelic textures rooted in the musical traditions of Peru’s rainforest cities. Their performance will accompany a short film highlighting Camino Verde’s impactful work restoring forests and supporting Indigenous communities.
Headlining the night, John Medeski—internationally renowned keyboardist and founding member of the avant-jazz trio Medeski Martin & Wood—will present an intimate solo piano set. Blending jazz, improvisation, and genre-defying exploration, Medeski’s performance promises a deeply immersive musical experience. He will also join Los Abstraccioneros for special collaborative moments throughout the evening.
