In questi anni di rinascimento del vibrafono—con la presenza di notevoli giovani strumentisti di entrambi i sessi—non dimentichiamoci di Bill Ware, solista molto attivo nei territori di frontiera col rock dalla fine degli anni ottanta ad oggi. Ricordiamo la sua lunga collaborazione con The Jazz Passengers, Groove Collective, Steely Dan e le incisioni con protagonisti trasversali: John Zorn, Bobby Previte, Elvis Costello ecc...).

In questo nuovo album (il primo dal 2009 in veste di leader), Ware riprende la collaborazione col notevole chitarrista Rez Abbasi e i fidi collaboratori Matt King al pianoforte, Jay Anderson al contrabbasso e Taru Alexander alla batteria.

Di Bill Ware si conoscono meno le doti di compositore versatile che ha spaziato dalla musica sinfonica alle colonne sonore cinematografiche. In quest'album temi e arrangiamenti sono suoi e si distinguono per freschezza e vivacità, con vari brani up-tempo.

Ware guida con sicurezza un post bop ricco di groove e fantasiosi assoli. Tra i brani spiccano l'appassionato "Dog Furr" con la brava cantante HANKA G (ovvero la slovacca Hanka Gregušová, purtroppo non indicata nella cover del disco), il variopinto e ritmicamente fantasioso "Don't Take Me Wrong, con un incisivo intervento di Abbasi e l'hardboppistico "Little Lizzard" con i focosi interventi di un trombettista e un sassofonista misteriosi.
