A four‑song journey through standards born at the dawn of the Great American Songbook, Eleonora Kouneni’s new EP This Eager Heart explores how we move through memory, desire, loss and surrender, in the small emotional pivots that happen quietly within us but end up defining us. It is a journey from the story we tell others to the truth we finally admit to ourselves.
Born almost a century ago, these standards have travelled through decades, oceans and legendary voices, and yet still speak with unnerving familiarity to the universal human experiences of love, and the different defences we employ to make sense of it.
Carefully curated for the way they trace the subtle shifts of longing, this EP serves as a reminder that the emotional architecture of love hasn’t changed, only the rooms we sing it in.
