A Fresh Listen

A Fresh Listen: A Fresh Listen
Over the years, one thing has become increasingly clear: audio isn't just a complement to what we do on All About Jazz—it's becoming central to it.

With that in mind, we've rolled out a fully redesigned Radio & Podcast section, and I wanted to share a bit of the thinking behind it.

The new program guide leans into a more modern, streaming-inspired experience. It's designed to feel familiar, easy to navigate, and—most importantly—inviting. You can scroll through the lineup, discover something new, jump right in and listen. Simple idea, but an important shift.

We're now featuring close to 30 curated programs spanning music, talk, and hybrid formats. That diversity has always been there, but the previous experience didn't quite showcase it as well as it could. This update is about giving those programs—and the people behind them—the visibility they deserve.

A few things you'll notice right away:
  • A more fluid, streaming-style layout that encourages exploration;
  • Greater emphasis on hosts, putting faces and voices front and center;
  • Stronger connections between shows and their creators;
  • Easier navigation to help you find what you're in the mood for;
  • A prominent "Listen Now" button so you can dive in immediately.
None of this is revolutionary on its own, but together it creates a more immersive and intuitive experience. And that's really the goal—make it easier to connect with the music, the conversations, and the personalities that make this space so rich.

Radio and podcasts have become an essential part of All About Jazz and this update reflects that shift.

There's more to come. We'll continue to refine the experience, add new programs, and look for ways to better support the hosts who make this all possible.

In the meantime, I hope you'll spend some time with the new guide—and maybe discover a show you didn't know you were looking for.
