About the Album
'April is a single from my new album The Light Ahead. I wanted to capture that sense of release and hope when spring finally comes after a long winter. I used the 5/4 rhythm to create a sense of forward motion, and lyrical imagery to suggest the dark months are retreating and we’re heading for the light. Inspired by the English countryside and the urban parks I love, I hope it evokes optimism and joy.'
