Album Description
Colombian pianist and composer Holman Alvarez presents Uarli’s Bones, a new album that merges mythology, memory, and a deeply exploratory approach to jazz. Featuring an extraordinary quartet—Patricia Brennan (vibraphone), John Hebert (bass), and Kate Gentile (drums)—the album was recorded by Rocky Russo at East Side Sound Studio in Manhattan on May 30, 2024, and mixed and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Marc Urselli. The project was executive produced by Juliana Mejía-Gonzalez and was released on streaming platforms on May 1st 2026.
Inspired by sources ranging from Amazonian cosmogony to Greek mythology, Colombian folklore, and contemporary urban life, Uarli’s Bones navigates ancient narratives and modern tensions through a sonic lens shaped by improvisation, modal structures, and compositional freedom.
