The Man Who Would Be King is titled after the Rudyard Kipling story that John Huston adapted into a classic adventure film in 1975. Music is an adventure: what to write, what to put into production, what to play, how it sounds, and how that makes people feel for a satisfying emotional journey. Regarding the album title's reference, the time was right for a reminder about what tragedy awaits people who lust after power.
