Album Description
Denver-based guitarist/composer Aaron Summerfield presents Summer Circle, a suite of narrative-driven compositions centered on ensemble interplay, improvisation, and cyclical form.
Blending contemporary jazz with alt-blues textures, the project emphasizes melodic clarity and collective interaction, recorded in an intimate setting to capture the natural resonance of the group. The core ensemble features Tyler Farr (saxophone), Wilson Luallen (bass), and Alex Tripp (drums), with guest appearances by Lannie Shelton (violin) and Kevin Klemm (keys).
The album is structured around themes of seasonal return and transformation, exploring how composition and spontaneity interact within a cohesive narrative arc.
A two-track EP (Summer Circle / Summoning) was released ahead of the full album as a preview of the project.
The full album will be released July 10, 2026, with a release performance at Dazzle Denver on July 9 or 10.
