Album Description
An overdue project with long time collaborators Robbie Lynn Hunsinger and Tatsu Aoki. Robbie Lynn led the highly reviewed free jazz album Trio with Tatsu and Joseph Jarman many years ago. She also used to regularly play duets with Tatsu and was an original member of his Miyumi Project.
Robbie Lynn and Tatsu performed as a duo at the Chicago World Music Festival and at the Women Make up Half the Sky Festival, at the Asian American Jazz Festival with Joseph Jarman, and at the Chicago Jazz Festival with the Miyumi Project. These Chicago masters are very happy to share their new duet album of freely improvised music.
Tatsu plays bass and Robbie Lynn plays Oboe, Soprano and Alto Saxes, Irish Whistles, Indian Shehnai, Chinese Suona, Indian Gopichand and Violin aka Fiddle. Click on individual tracks to see

Robbie Lynn had puppet brain when she created the artwork for this project. The Suona figure is an actual shadow puppet used in her Shehnai Mist/Suona Flame performance with the Chicago Puppetry Festival's Puppet Lab Showcase!
