Album Description
Lyrical modern jazz piano trio album of mainly original tunes, displaying Williams's clarity and sense of space/pace as well as her quirky originality. Her arrangement of Waller's Jitterbug Waltz has been described by Jazzwise as "no reverential portrayal, rather a genuine reinterpretation..."
This trio has been together for several years but has only previously recorded as part of larger line ups (Kate Williams Four Plus Three meets Georgia Mancio (2019) and Kate Williams Four Plus Three (2016)).
This album, which was recorded with minimal separation, is essentially acoustic in nature and represents a sense of collective music making between three musicians who have evolved together over the past ten years.
