Album Description

Light Beam is a contemporary jazz album that explores the intersection of jazz and chamber music through a cinematic and narrative-driven approach. Centered around piano and expanded by string quartet and voice, the music unfolds through a balance of composition and improvisation.

With an emphasis on melody, texture and atmosphere, the album moves between intimate passages and more expansive, orchestrated moments, reflecting a distinctly European aesthetic. Independently produced and released on vinyl and digital formats, Light Beam marks a new direction in Markos Chaidemenos’ work, focusing on sonic detail, space and expressive clarity.
