Travis Hall
Travis Hall (b. January 23, 1994) is an Atlanta-based vocalist, composer, and Recording Academy Voting Member whose work exists at the intersection of jazz tradition, soul expression, and contemporary Black American Music. He holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Georgia State University, where his graduate studies included advanced jazz theory, harmonic analysis, and improvisation alongside classical and operatic training.
Hall’s compositional voice is grounded in extended harmony, modal interchange, altered dominants, and jazz-informed voice leading — elements that shape both his writing and performance approach. Though widely recognized as a Soul and R&B artist, his music reflects a deep engagement with jazz structure, ensemble interplay, and improvisational phrasing.
His debut album, HeART Museum, features more than 50 Atlanta musicians and was recorded with live strings, horns, and full rhythm section. The project integrates sophisticated harmonic movement with groove-centered arrangements, situating soul music within the broader continuum of jazz-influenced Black American musical tradition.
HeART Museum received GRAMMY consideration in four categories, and the single “Kiss Goodnight” was featured as TIDAL Song of the Week. Hall has also been featured by Jazzefied and continues to develop large-ensemble work that prioritizes live orchestration, pocket, and improvisational dialogue.
As he enters pre-production for his second studio album, Hall’s work further explores the relationship between orchestral texture, advanced harmony, and the evolving language of contemporary jazz-informed soul.

From A&R Factory (Amelia Vandergast, January 2026): "Locked and loaded with the kind of electricity that could single-handedly light up Broadway and grooves that glisten in a way that affirms Hall is a natural born rhythmatist... HeART Museum may be his debut, but it arrives fully formed — each track a portal into his emotional archive."
From Fusion Nostalgia: "Hall is that rare artist who respects tradition while reimagining it, who knows the rules but chooses to break them beautifully. His songs are made to last, not just to trend."
