Rafał Jackiewicz

Rafał Jackiewicz is a Polish saxophonist, composer, and conductor, active on the jazz and contemporary music scene for many years. He has performed across Europe and in the United States, gaining recognition from both audiences and critics. He leads his own projects: the Rafał Jackiewicz Quartet and the Rafał Jackiewicz Orchestra.

In 2022, he was awarded the prestigious "Gaude Polonia" scholarship by the Polish Minister of Culture. Artistically rooted in contemporary jazz and the European jazz tradition, his music combines modern sound with sensitivity and a strong sense of improvisation.

He has released two albums: Sometimes (2021) and Sea Poetry (2025). The latter was included among the best albums of 2025 and was awarded Polish Jazz Album of the Year in Marek Śmietański’s “Jazz Crumbs” program.
