Joan Fort is a great young guitar player with a beautiful musicality and a mature sensibility. This recording shows his qualities beautifully as a player and composer. That Joan has chosen such strong and seasoned players and leads the session with great composure and vision shows maturity well beyond his years. Joan has a beautiful warm tone with just a little bit of bite that puts his ideas over with conviction and passion and his compositions have personality and lyricism. I look forward to enjoying Joan’s music for a long time and hearing him develop his unique voice. - Peter Bernstein
