Danny Grissett
Pianist and composer Danny Grissett has been a defining
voice on the international jazz scene for over two decades,
acclaimed for combining technical brilliance with a deep,
soulful touch. His latest album, Travelogue (Savant Records,
2025), reached #5 on JazzWeek, surpassed 2.3 million Spotify
streams, earned Presto Music's Recording of the Week, and
drew acclaim from All About Jazz, The Jazz Word, and Jazz
Weekly.
Born in Los Angeles and shaped by New York's creative
crucible, he built an indispensable presence as both leader
and collaborator — partnering with Tom Harrell for more
than fifteen years and sharing stages with Vincent Herring,
Nicholas Payton, Benny Golson, and Jackie McLean.
Now based in Vienna, where he serves as a professor at JAM
Music Lab University, Grissett brings global perspective and
renewed creative urgency to every performance.
The Danny Grissett Trio translates that vision to the stage: a
deeply interactive ensemble where spontaneous interplay
meets compositional clarity, groove, and emotional directness
