Anthony Rodriguez ARodReeds

Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Anthony Rodriguez has been making music since he was 16, when he first picked up the saxophone and began his classical training. Early on, he performed with the ISO Symphonic Band and Orchestra at venues like Carnegie Hall and Symphony Space, and later represented Xaverian High School internationally as lead Alto Saxophonist at the 2007 Cherry Blossom Festival in Kyoto, Japan.

Anthony’s path has always blended classical roots with versatility. After high school, he studied Music Performance at Brooklyn College, learning from respected mentors Bernard Goldberg (Flute), Edino Biaggi (Oboe), and Paul Cohen (Saxophone). Along the way, he spent several summers at French Woods Festival, performing in concert bands, symphony, and up to a dozen musicals each season—eventually joining the woodwind staff.

His career quickly expanded into theater and touring. From performing with The Phantom of the Opera internationally in Jakarta, to regional theaters across Chicago, Anthony built a reputation as a reliable and expressive multi-woodwind player. While in Chicago, he also served as a Musicians Union TMA Secretary/Treasurer and worked as a woodwind coach for CYSO.

In 2019, Anthony hit the road on the first national tour of The SpongeBob Musical. When live performance paused in 2020, he co-founded The Quarentet, continuing to perform and record remotely. Once theaters reopened, he returned to touring with Hairspray (2021–22), The Book of Mormon (2022–23), and later Annie, performing at iconic venues like Madison Square Garden and the Chicago Theatre.

Now based back in New York, Anthony continues to perform on stage and in the studio, including appearances at Ogunquit Playhouse and the world premiere of My Best Friend’s Wedding.

In 2025, he stepped into a new role as Woodwind Soloist for Naruto: The Symphonic Experience and The Witcher in Concert, combining orchestral performance with iconic modern storytelling.

Anthony specializes in woodwinds and above all, loves collaborating with great people and making music that connects.
