About Me
He is interested in composition, avant-garde jazz, experimentation, contemporary music. He holds degrees with honors in Jazz Music (2nd level) from the “N. Piccinni” Conservatory in Bari and in Jazz Composition from the “N. Rota” Conservatory in Monopoli, graduating with honors and distinction. He attended composition courses at Siena Jazz with Bruno Tommaso, Giancarlo Gazzani, and Giancarlo Schiaffini, and courses in Chieti with James Newton and Bruno Tommaso. He has participated in various masterclasses on free improvisation and conduction. Since 2001, he has collaborated regularly with the vocalist Marta Gadaleta in duo and various formations. He performed with Rachel Z, Roberto Ottaviano, Andrea Centazzo Invisibile Orchestra, Gianni Lenoci, and Mark Dresser. With Filippo Lattanzi's Jacarandà Ensemble, he has performed at Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, P.A.S. Greece in Athens, Time Zones Festival, Teatro Comunale di Vasto, P.A.S. Italy in Pescara, Camerino Winter Festival, and the “Embracing the Universe” series curated by Emanuele Arciuli. With the SubArdente Collective free improvisation group, he has collaborated with Gianni Lenoci, Elio Martusciello, Daniele Ledda, Giancarlo Schiaffini, Roberto Ottaviano, and Silvia Bolognesi. Through the Onyx Collective, he has worked with Bruno Tommaso, Achille Succi, and actor Giuseppe Cederna on 'Materadio' for Rai Radio Tre, 'Suoni del futuro remoto' with composer Joe Johnson featuring Paolo Fresu for Matera 2019. He participated in the Urticanti festival of contemporary music 2023, in Bari, with M. Gadaleta and Ettore Fioravanti and in 2025 with a collective directed by Francesco Giomi.
