About Me
Through all of life’s twists and turns, music has been the only constant. I have been a fan of all things music since age six, and that passion only continues to grow. My love and study of “under the radar” music — particularly progressive rock and jazz — culminated in my first book, I Can’t Be the Only One Hearing This: A Lifetime of Music Through Eclectic Ears. Work on my next two books has begun while I continue to listen and collect.

I love jazz because it was a gift
from my father. It is what we
bonded over and talked about
constantly until his passing. My
father introduced me to Jean-Luc
Ponty, Return to Forever, and Miles
Davis, among many others. He
took me to my first real jazz gig
(Delfeayo Marsalis), and
introduced me to the tradition of
playing jazz records every Sunday,
which I do to this day. To my mind,
my father was jazz. And I am my
father.
